Mulching & Bed Maintenance in Overland Park

Nothing changes the look of a house faster or cheaper than fresh mulch inside a crisp edge. Our process is the same on every property. Beds are weeded by hand and root-pulled, not just topped. The edge is re-cut by hand or machine into a clean spade trench so the mulch has a wall to sit against. Existing mulch is turned and leveled if it has matted, then topped with fresh double- or triple-shredded hardwood to a consistent two-to-three inch depth — kept back off trunks and crowns so nothing rots.

We work in shredded hardwood, black-dyed hardwood, brown-dyed hardwood, cedar and river rock. Dyed products hold their color longer through a Kansas August; natural hardwood knits together better on slopes and feeds the soil as it breaks down. We will tell you which one makes sense for your beds rather than selling you the one with the best margin.
